ARRIVE NAIROBI Day 1, 17 July 2018
Arrive in Nairobi and proceed to Passport Control. Proceed downstairs to retrieve your luggage. After clearing customs meet with your WildTrek Safari concierge and driver/guide and transfer to the Stanley Hotel for overnight.

Day 2, TO LAIKIPIA PLATEAU AND OL PEJETA RANCH
After breakfast depart with your WildTrek guide for Ol Pejata Ranch (a private wildlife reserve) and Sweetwaters Tented Camp. After check in and lunch take a walk around the grounds, watch the wildlife that visit the waterhole or take some time to relax. At 4:00p go on a game drive in the reserve where it is possible to see giraffe, buffalo, eland, elephant, gazelle,lion, rhino and a variety of birds. You can also. Return to camp at sunset for dinner and overnight. Here it is possible to go on a night game drive (at additional costs not included). B/L/D

DAY 3: LAIKIPIA OL PEJETA RANCH
After breakfast visit the Jane Goodall Chimpanzee Sanctuary After finishing your visit go on a game viewing drive with more opportunities to hone your photography skills. Back to Camp around noon for lunch and some time to relax or meet with Mr. Dale to go over photos and get helpful hints. At 4:00p back out in pursuit of wildlife. Sweetwaters is a good location to find rhino among all the other wildlife. Return to camp at sunset for dinner and overnight. B/L/D

DAY 4: TO SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE
Early morning wake up and breakfast. After breakfast meet with your WildTrek guide and depart for Samburu National Reserve in the northern desert. Arrive around noon at Samburu Game Lodge on the banks of the Ewaso N'Giro River. Here your accommodations are in small cottages. After check in and lunch some time to relax, just sit on your front porch and take in the spectacular desert scenery, or take a walk around the grounds. At 4:00p go with your WildTrek guide on a wildlife viewing drive. Here you will have opportunities to see and photograph elephant, giraffe, oryx, ostrich, baboon, gerenuk, vervet monkey, lion, cheetah and if lucky leopard. There are also a variety of gazelle and birds in this park. At sunset return to the Game Lodge for dinner and overnight. B/L/D

DAY 5: SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE
Up at dawn and out into the desert to view wildlife. Early morning is the best time to see predators still hunting. Return for breakfast around 8:00a, then back out into the desert to continue viewing wildlife. Return for lunch and some time to relax. At 4:00p back out to view more wildlife, returning at sunset for dinner and overnight. B/L/D

DAY 6: SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE
Early morning breakfast then out into the desert to photograph wildlife. This morning you drive to an adjacent park called Buffalo Springs. En route you will drive to the top of a prominent ridge where you have amazing views of Samburu and the well known flattop mountain, Mt. Ololokwe. Buffalo Springs is a good location to spot Somali ostrich. Return for lunch and some time to relax. At 4:00p back out to view more wildlife, returning at sunset for dinner and overnight. B/L/D

DAY 7: TO ABERDARE NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast depart with your WildTrek guide for Aberdare National Park. Arrive late morning at the Aberdare Country Club. After check-in for The Ark Lodge, lunch at the Country Club. At 2:00p board the Ark Lodge mountain vehicle and proceed into the park. Arrive at The Ark in time for afternoon tea. Balance of the day and night free to view wildlife which visit the waterhole and saltlick in front of the Lodge. During the night it is possible that the waterhole will be visited by elephant, buffalo, bushbuck, hyena, leopard and other nocturnal wildlife. NOTE: Flash photography is NOT allowed and conversations must be kept to a whisper to avoid startling the wildlife. Dinner and overnight at The Ark. B/L/D

DAY 8: TO LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast back down the mountain to the Country Club where you will meet your WildTrek guide.  Depart with your WildTrek guide for Lake Nakuru National Park located in the Great Rift Valley.  The Great Rift Valley is believed to be the birthplace of mankind and is the only valley large enough to be seen from space. Arrive at Lake Nakuru Lodge around noon for check-in and lunch. Lake Nakuru is the only  national park in Africa created as a sanctuary for birds, and is home to over 400 species of birds, the most numerous of which are greater and lesser flamingos, which at certain times of the year can number up to 2 million. At 4:00p go on a wildlife photo drive in the park with your WildTrek guide. In addition to the amazing bird population here you can also see white rhino, buffalo, hippo, giraffe, warthog, colobus monkey, baboon and a variety of gazelle.  Return to Lake Nakuru Lodge at sunset for dinner and overnight. B/L/D

DAY 9: TO MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE
Early morning breakfast.  After breakfast depart with your WildTrek guide for the well known Maasai Mara.  After passing though the town of Mia Miahu, from here on you will pass through Maasai towns and have opportunities to see wildlife all along the way.  A brief stop in the Town of Narok, the main town where Maasai come to trade cattle and the ladies to sell their beadwork.  A word of caution, do NOT take photos of the Maasai without first asking permission.  You may be asked for some Shillings for the privilege. Continue on to the Mara arriving at the park gate around noon.  Continue on to Ashnil Camp in the central Mara. After check-in and lunch some time to relax and take in the amazing views of the Mara.  At 4:00p go on a game viewing drive in the Mara.  Here it is possible to see all the wildlife for which East Africa is so well known - large herds of elephant, buffalo, zebra and wildebeest.  Also present are large numbers of lion, topi, heartebeest, Thompson's and Grant's gazelle.  If fortunate you may also see cheetah, leopard and cerval.  Birds are also present here in large numbers.  Return to Ashnil Camp at sunset for dinner and overnight. DAY 10: MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE 
After breakfast a full day game drive in the Mara. Today you travel in the western side of the park and the Mara River.  At the river there are large numbers of hippo and crocodile. If fortunate, you will be able to view the Great Migration, a time when millions of wildebeest and zebra migrate into the Mara from the Serengeti. Lunch today will be a picnic box lunch out on the savanna.  After lunch continue photographing wildlife, returning to camp late afternoon.  Dinner and overnight at Ashnil Camp. B/L/D

DAY 11: MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE
Up at dawn, breakfast then out onto the savanna to continue viewing the incredible wildlife of the Mara. Today you have the option (at own expense) of taking a hot air balloon ride over the Mara - check with staff at Serena Lodge to make arrangements. Continue viewing wildlife then return to Ashnil for lunch. After lunch you will visit a nearby Maasai village (manyatta). Here the family will introduce to the Maasai lifestyle and culture. Be prepared, the Manyatta will have an abundance of cow dung and flies, as the cattle are kept within the Manyatta at night for protection from predators. If you have room, bring small gifts for the children. At 4:00p back out onto the savanna for wildlife viewing. Return to Ashnil Camp at sunset for dinner and overnight. B/L/D

DAY 12: MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE
Up at dawn, breakfast then out onto the savanna for your last full day in the Mara.  Today you will travel to whatever location will provide the greatest opportunities for photography.  Again you will have a picnic lunch out on the savanna under the shade of an acacia tree.  After lunch continue in pursuit of wildlife.  Return to camp late afternoon.  Some time to stop watch the amazing sunset and reflect on your time in Kenya.  Dinner and overnight in Ashnil Camp. B/L/D

DAY 13: TO NAIROBI
Early breakfast then depart for Nairobi with your WildTrek guide. Arrive around 1:00p at the Stanley Hotel. Lunch is on your own today. You may stay at the Hotel or there are a number of excellent restaurants within easy walking distance of the Hotel. Mid afternoon a final meeting with Mr. Dale. Dinner and overnight at The Stanley. B/D

DAY 14: TO JOMO KENYATTA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
After breakfast you will transfer to the airport for you flights home. Depart for the airport based upon your flight departure times. B
